Easter Basket Gifting Ideas

Do you remember some of the goodies you received in your Easter basket, as a kid? Maybe you recall the pastel colored goodies and bunny rabbit shaped, chocolate treats. Maybe the toy race cars, bubbles, puzzles or other fun activities were your favorite part. And of course, we can’t forget about the extra treats you walked away with Easter egg hunts! Whichever side you fall on, I bet we can all agree that it was exciting to receive special gifts during this time of the year.
If your family is one who partakes in the Easter basket tradition, we thought it’d be fun to help you come up with some gift ideas for the little ones in your life, this Resurrection season. Some people like to stick with a theme, which in our opinion, makes the gifting a little easier, since you have a central focus. It can definitely make for a more efficient shopping trip. But, you can also just fill the basket with some of your child(ren)’s favorite things. It’s all up to you. However, if you’re looking for some fresh and fun gifting options, check out some of our selections below:
God Gave Us Easter- This beautifully written and illustrated book, is the perfect addition to any child’s easter basket. It’s also a great way to help them remember the reason for the season! Make room for some quality time as you snuggle up on the couch or before bed, as a family, and read the wonderful story of what Easter is really all about.
When God Made You- A sweet reminder to last beyond the Easter holiday. This children’s book is also an easter basket essential. All children should know the importance of their worth and in whom it is rooted. Instilling this in them early, and how their presence matters on this earth, can help lay the foundation for your little one to grow into a strong and confident person!
Easter Treats- If time permits, add a personal touch and whip up a tasty treat to add to your child’s easter basket, in lieu of the store bought candies and treats. You can even make it a family bonding experience and make the treats together, then let them enjoy the fruits (or brownies) of their labor, the next day!
Easter Cookie Decorating Kit- Who said edible decorations were just for Gingerbread houses and Christmas time? Not us! Grab this yummy activity at your local Walmart and hop to it.
Egg-Shaped Sidewalk Chalk- This is just a neat twist on the classic sidewalk chalk activity, so we figured, why not!
As you gift your little one with something special this Easter, don’t forget to remind them about the true reason for the season. And have some yummy treats while you’re at it!
